Project #26 features Buttons up sculpture

Buttons up is a sculpture created in summer spirit, made from driftwood picked up from the Gulf of Finland, two huge rusty nails and buttons, that I discovered while digging ground at my summer cottage in South-Eastern Finland. To top it all, the head piece is made of rusty tomato sauce container, while the old buttons hang down from copper wire. Click image for a slideshow!

Turning old into new is my favorite reason to create small sculptures; this one can be also used as Christmas-light holder, as shown. Sculpture is available for $50 plus shipping costs; contact Veera for more info. Buttons up, size approx. 6x20in.
